This serene landscape by painter by John Stacey is an excellent example of the subtle and impressionistic style he was known for.  Stacey was a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculptors and is listed Who's Who American Art 1564-1975. He was born in Medford, Maine and died in Pasedena, California. In its original frame with a title plaque attached the painting can be given new life with some modern love and attention.
